Athletics Namibia increases its prize money for the second leg of Bank Windhoek Grand Prix Series as a record number of Namibia's elite athletes battle inside Windhoek's Independence Stadium on Saturday January 12, 2013.

More than 200 athletes are registered to take part in the first leg of the prestigious Bank Windhoek Grand Prix Series scheduled to take place at the Oshakati Stadium on Saturday, December 8, 2012.

Bank Windhoek reaffirms its commitment towards Athletics Namibia, with a sponsorship of N$300 000 for the 2012/2013 season on Tuesday.

Athletics Namibia has selected a team of 13 athletes to represent the country at the Confederation of African Athletics Southern Region Youth Championships which take place in Harare, Zimbabwe on May 27.

Hitjiverue Kaanjuka and Globine Mayova were the stars of the show as they both won the sprint doubles at the Bank Windhoek National Senior Athletics Championships over the weekend.

The Athletics Namibia’s 2012 year plan will kick off this weekend with the conclusion of the third and final leg of the Bank Windhoek Grand Prix series.
