The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has made a call for entries for the 21st edition of the NNPC/Exxon Mobil Track and Field Championships scheduled for the June 24-26, 2010 at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Cross River State.
According to a statement signed by AFN's Secretary General, Maria Worphill, this year's edition will be used as a criteria for the selection of athletes that will represent Nigeria at the African Senior Championships in Nairobi, Kenya from the 28th -31st July, 2010 and the XIX Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India from 3rd - 15th October, 2010.
The statement also requested all State Athletics Associations, Clubs, Military, Para-Military and Higher Institutions to send in their entries based on the qualification standards set by the body to the AFN Secretariat in Abuja by Monday June 7, 2010 as late entries would not be accepted.
