A total prize purse of US$245,000 will be paid by the IAAF for the men's and women's races at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships, Kavarna, Bulgaria, on Saturday 6 October 2012.

Athletics South Africa (ASA) selects Stephen Mokoka and René Kalmer to lead the teams for the 2012 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships taking place in Kavarna, Bulgaria on October 6.
