Ethiopia’s Kenenisa Bekele has won the men’s 5000m in Mauritius. 

Bekele, 24, the reigning Olympic and world 10,000m champion took the lead at the bell and surged on to win in 14:03.41.

Kenyan Mike Kigen was second in 14:05.12 with Uganda's Moses Kipsiro settling for bronze in 14:05.20.
