The 2nd IAAF World Youth Coaches Conference will be held in Cali, Colombia, on Monday July, 20, 2015.
It will be held at the Escuela Nacional del Deporte in Cali, giving the opportunity for coaches from approximately 150 national teams assembled for the IAAF World Youth Championships, [link id=”651″ tax=”post_tag” text=”Cali 2015″] the chance to attend.
The conference will be opened by IAAF President [link id=”186″ tax=”post_tag” text=”Lamine Diack”] and features six experts from around the world discussing topics of interest in this category for the coaching profession.
The youth category in athletics is considered a crucial phase in an athlete’s training and development, especially with respect to biology, auxology, psychology, and especially bio-motor and cognitive skills.
Speakers include: IAAF Director of Development & Member Relations Malek El-Hebil, Dr Cristina Fink (USA), Duany Lebeque Ubaldy (CUB), Dr Wolfgang Killing-Muhlinghaus (GER), Dr Randall L Wilber (USA), and Prof. Dr Dietmar Schmidtbleicher (GER).

This conference will be the latest in the series of coaching seminars promoted and organised by the [link id=”175″ tax=”post_tag” text=”IAAF” target=”_blank” target=”_blank”] as part of its commitment to the development of the sport.
It follows in the footsteps of the successful 1st IAAF World Junior Coaches Conference held in Eugene, USA, after the conclusion of the 2014 [link id=”455″ tax=”post_tag” text=”IAAF World Junior Championships” target=”_blank” target=”_blank”] there; and also the 2nd IAAF World Coaches Conference held in Moscow in August 2013 after the last [link id=”522″ tax=”post_tag” text=”IAAF World Championships” target=”_blank” target=”_blank”].
