A total of US$2,464,000 is on offer from the IAAF as prize money at this week’s IAAF World Indoor Championships Portland 2016 this weekend.

A total of US$2,464,000 is on offer from the IAAF as prize money at this week’s IAAF World Indoor Championships Portland 2016 from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 at the Oregon Convention Centre.

As has become traditional, there is also a US$50,000 bonus for any athlete setting a world record during the four-day championships.

The official start lists will only become available after the Technical Meeting, which takes place on Thursday 17 March at 1130 local time (GMT -7hrs).
