More than $11,000 USD is on offer at the 2015 Econet Wireless Victoria Falls Full and Half Marathon taking place in the Zimbabwean scenic resort town on Sunday 28 June, 2015.
The Econet Victoria Falls Marathon comprise of a full 42.2km marathon race, 21.2km half marathon run and a 7.5km fun run open in the Male and Female Open categories.
The marathon race route starts in the car park outside the Banks/Ilala Lodge entrance, then crosses over the Victoria Falls Bridge briefly into [link id=”556″ tax=”category” text=”Zambia”], before the route continues through the Zambezi National Park with some great views of the river, and ends at the Victoria Falls primary school.

Developed in conjunction with the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe ([link id=”750″ tax=”post_tag” text=”NAAZ”]), the Victoria Falls Marathon race is an [link id=”295″ tax=”post_tag” text=”AIMS “](Association of International Marathon and Distance Races) registered event.
The marathon race provides a platform for both local and international runners to pit themselves against the best, and offers the social runner some of the most spectacular scenery in Africa.
The [link id=”749″ tax=”post_tag” text=”Vic Falls marathon”] race route is fast and relatively flat and is well supported by regular water points and cooling down sections, all ably managed by the sponsors.
