Athletics Kenya has selected a team of 79 athletes for the 22nd CAA African Athletics Championships (COCAAS22), which will be held at the Côte d’Or National Sports Complex in Port-Louis, Mauritius from 8-12 June, 2022.
The strong Kenyan team – 44 men and 35 women – to the Maurice 2022 CAA African Senior Athletics Championships will take part in track and field events, and in the men and women’s 4x100m and 4x400m relay races.
2015 World champion Julius Yego, who has won back-to-back continental Javelin titles (Porto Novo 2012, Marrakech 2014), as well as a bronze medal in Nairobi 2010, will be making his fifth appearance at the Africa showpiece event.
