Kabange Mupopo switched from soccer to track and field this year in order to represent Zambia at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games where she finished 6th in the semifinals (53.09).
Two weeks later, she won the silver medal (51.21) at the 2014 African Senior Athletics Championships in Marrakesh to earn a spot of the Africa team to the Continental Cup this weekend.
